We will also use this time to answer any questions you may have and discuss your concerns about the project and give you a rough estimate.

For projects that require plans and/or design services, we will schedule an additional meeting with you and our trade partners who will work on your project to come in and provide us with a detailed scope of work and an estimate. Design and estimating consultations require a fee of approximately 2% – 3% of the job cost depending on the complexity of your project. All decision makers are highly encouraged to be present during this meeting.

Once the consultation is complete, our team will create a unique proposal tailored to your kitchen remodel project. You will never receive a generic proposal when you work with SMC Construction, Inc. Instead, we tailor the proposal to your kitchen, budget, and desires.

After you have received, reviewed, and accepted our proposal, we will work with you to schedule the kitchen remodel. We will also start obtaining all required permits and ordering the materials for the project. As the project start date gets closer, we will schedule a preconstruction meeting with you to answer your questions, address concerns, and inform you of any changes. Throughout the kitchen remodel, we will provide progress updates in-person and through our online portal.

We will meet with your city’s inspectors throughout the kitchen remodeling to ensure we follow all safety standards and regulations. This step ensures you and your loved ones remain safe in your new kitchen. After completing the project and inspections, we will do a final kitchen walk-through with you to ensure your satisfaction and answer any last-minute questions.
