South Minneapolis Bungalow Attic Renovation

This was our design build project that took many creative steps to give us a stunning master suite. We started with gutting the entire space, adding new framing needed for insulation and new layout. This design is divided into four dormers, biggest one we need for the bedroom, one is already taken by stairs, we needed to add a bathroom and a closet, so we worked all of the angles to the maximum and utilized every inch of the space. We used closed cell foam with a cellulose blown in insulation in the walls and ceilings, we added new Marvin aluminum clad wood windows, and glass block in the bathroom, we moved the radiators to fit in with the layout and not be on the way , we also added a mini splits for cooling the space. We built a custom walk-in tiled shower with white walls and black floor to really make the space show better contrast.

We added the built in bookshelf on top of the stairs and added an office on the opposite side, than we added the bathroom and the door needed to swing out just because that was the only space with clearance, we added builtins in our master bedroom so we have storage that is not encroaching on the square footage of the room but also not wasted space.

We painted the millwork, doors white and builtins, we added gray on the walls and we finished the oak hardwood dark to contrast the shite and gray.
